About Us:

Willamette Valley Pie Company has roots going back to 1999 from the Gerald Roth family farm. The Roth family has been growing berries locally in Salem, Oregon for three generations and their fruit is still used in our products today. We quickly expanded from fruit processing to pie manufacturing to a full line of premium, scratch made, all-natural desserts. We are committed to building upon that legacy and sharing the flavors of the Willamette Valley with the world.

Summary:

This position is responsible for performing and meeting daily production goals for baked goods. That means mixing portioning, baking, cooling, packaging, labeling and documenting.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare products by following standardized recipes. Weighing and mixing ingredients in order to ensure appropriate quantities and quality are met.
  • Reviews production schedules and orders to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake,
  • Assembles supplies and equipment needed.
  • Prepares each product by utilizing proper shaping and production techniques.
  • Works alongside the Head Specialty Baker to ensure quality and quantity of all products.
  • Cleans and maintains work areas, utensils and equipment.
  • Reports any variances in standardized recipes to the Bakery Manager.

Skills, Requirements and Minimum Education Level

  • Experience that is directly related bakery products
  • Knowledge of bakery supplies and equipment.
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards.
  • Ability to mix and produce a variety of bakery products
  • Ability to follow GMPs, SOPs, Safety Regulations and Company policies
  • Ability to perform all tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the bakery team.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of position.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the bakery which may include Saturdays Sundays and Holidays
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Self-motivated, team player, and show up “ready to work”

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for full 8 hour shifts.
